Social worker fast track course planned

A fast track course for social workers is being launched by the government to attract top quality graduates and raise standards within the profession.

Education Secretary Michael Gove has also announced the appointment of the first Chief Social Worker for children and families in England, following several high-profile cases such as the death of Baby P.
