'My son didn't deserve to be killed' says soldier Danny Collins' mum

The mother of a teenage soldier stabbed to death outside a nightclub in Cyprus the day before he was due to serve in Afghanistan has spoken of her anguish.

Mohammed Abdulkadir Osman, 19, has been jailed for eight years after admitting to the manslaughter Danny Collins, also 19, in Ayia Napa in November 2012.

His mother Lisa Minott said: "He was so looking forward to Afghanistan. I was really really proud of him... He didn't deserve to get stabbed."
