The victim of a savage attack in Woolwich, south-east London, was a "dedicated and proud soldier", his commanding officer has said.

Drummer Lee Rigby, 25, from Manchester, served with the 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

He was killed by two men on Wednesday, outside Woolwich Barracks.
