German bomber salvage attempt brought forward

The last remaining example of a World War II Dornier bomber will be raised from the bottom of the English Channel on Sunday evening.

The plans were brought forward to take advantage of suitable weather conditions.

The Dornier was shot down more than 70 years ago during the Battle of Britain.

The salvage is just the start of a two-year restoration project by the RAF Museum in Hendon.

Nick Higham reports.
