Woolwich murder: Ed Miliband backs extremism taskforce

The leader of the Labour party has welcomed government plans to tackle extremism and radicalisation in the wake of the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich.

David Cameron announced that the Intelligence and Security Committee will look into the Woolwich case specifically. A new taskforce has also been launched to look into the root causes of extremism.

Addressing MPs, Mr Miliband said "whatever the origin and motivation of terrorists...the British people will never be intimidated."
