Woolwich murder: David Cameron pledges to tackle radicalisation

The prime minister has launched task force to tackle radicalisation in the UK, in the wake of the fatal stabbing of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich.

In a statement to MPs, David Cameron paid tribute to Drummer Rigby, and set out his plans to "learn the lessons" from the tragedy.

The Intelligence and Security Committee, chaired by Sir Malcolm Rifkind, will look into the case and report back by the end of 2013.

Mr Cameron has also chaired the first meeting of a new task force, looking at extremism and radicalisation.
