'I was sofa surfing for two years' - homeless teenager
Homeless teenagers are being failed by their councils and placed in housing unsuitable for vulnerable young people, according to research.
A study by homeless charity Home Lesslink found 16 and 17 year olds were not always properly assessed or supported by local authorities with some ending up in B&Bs or shared accommodation with adults, exposing them to potential exploitation.
Nineteen-year-old Max, who became homeless at 16, told BBC Breakfast he was never referred to social services.
