'Having reservists on board can benefit employers'
Army reservists are to receive £40m of new kit and the number of serving reservists is expected to increase by 15,000 to 30,000.
BBC defence correspondent Caroline Wyatt said the Territorial Army was being renamed the Army Reserve because the government was keen to ensure reservists could serve more closely alongside their regular counterparts.
Major John Ingledew works in Army recruitment in south-east Wales.
He says the reserve has changed a lot - and people often have the wrong impression about what they do and how people can benefit from being a reservist.
