James Bulger's mother Denise Fergus: 'I feel like I let him down'

The mother of murdered toddler James Bulger said she feels like she's "let him down" following the decision to free one of his killer's from prison.

The Parole Board confirmed Jon Venables is to be re-released 20 years after the death of two-year-old James.

In an interview with Channel 5 News, Denise Fergus said she had fought hard for justice for her son, but now feels as if Venables is once again a danger to the public.

"He is going to constantly be looking over his shoulder and he's not going to like that life - so what is he going to do, to get back into prison?" she asked.
