Abu Qatada leaves Belmarsh prison ahead of deportation

A convoy of police vehicles has left Belmarsh prison, ahead of the expected deportation of Abu Qatada to Jordan to stand trial on terrorism charges.

He is due to board a military plane at RAF Northolt, which will take him back to his home country in the early hours.

Jon Brain reports saw the police convoy leave Belmarsh prison just after midnight.
