Big fishing boats lose quota fight
The High Court has upheld a government decision to reallocate unused fishing quota from bigger operators to small-scale fishermen.
The UK Association of Fish Producer Organisations, which represents some of Britain's biggest producers, challenged the move - essentially a licence to fish, worth more than £1m.
Fisheries minister Richard Benyon told the BBC he felt it was right to have transferred "consistently underused quota" to the struggling smaller inshore producers.
