London airport capacity situation a 'disgrace' - Sir Roy McNulty

The chairman of Gatwick airport has said unless a plan for London's airports is drawn up soon the city will be out of capacity "within a year or two".

Sir Roy McNulty favours a constellation of three two-runway airports in the capital and believes it is "a bit of a disgrace" that nothing has been done so far.

He said: "Around the whole community that is interested in this subject is a feeling that really we have dragged our feet for far too long and this time we have got to make a decision."
