Railway signal boxes saved from demolition

The era of the old-fashioned signal box might be coming to an end but an agreement has been reached to save the best of them from demolition.

English Heritage is listing 26 boxes as part of a national scheme to ensure the survival of at least a small part of our trackside heritage.
