Dave Lee Travis 'to plead not guilty'

Former BBC Radio 1 presenter Dave Lee Travis has appeared in court, charged with 11 counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

The allegations date from 1977 to 2007 and relate to nine female complainants aged between 15 and 29 at the time. He intends to plea not guilty, the court heard.

His case has now been sent to Southwark Crown Court, where he will appear on September 6.
