Ministers hit back at UN 'bedroom tax' report

The government has demanded an apology from a UN official who described a change to housing benefit as an abuse of people's human rights and recommended that the policy be suspended.

Conservatives claim the report by Raquel Rolnik is biased and one sided, and are angry that she referred to the benefits change as "the bedroom tax" rather than the "spare room subsidy".
