Veil debate: 'I'd want to see nurse's face' says Jeremy Hunt

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt says the decision to ban the wearing of veils in hospital is a "professional matter".

Mr Hunt said it was "not for politicians to decide", even though his personal preference would be to see the face of the member of medical staff treating him.

He said: "If I was a patient myself, I'd want to be able to see the face of the doctor or the nurse who was treating me."
