Owner of dogs that killed 14-year-old girl avoids jail

A woman whose dogs mauled to death a 14-year-old girl in March has been given a 16-week suspended jail sentence.

Jade Anderson died when the four animals attacked her while she was in the house of the dogs' owner, Beverley Concannon, in Atherton, near Wigan.

She has admitted that her treatment of the animals had led to them becoming too aggressive.

Ed Thomas reports.
