'HS2 good investment for Britain' - David Cameron

Opponents of the HS2 rail project are "putting the country's future at risk", the prime minister has said.

In a speech to the national conference of the business group, the CBI, David Cameron said the plan was a "good investment for Britain".

He pledged that Sir David Higgins, who was in charge of delivering the London Olympics on time and on budget, would ensure that the project delivered value for money.
