Clyde 'best place' to build warships, says Sturgeon
Scotland's Deputy First Minister has rejected claims the decision to build the Royal Navy's new ships in Glasgow was politically motivated.
Nicola Sturgeon said she was devastated for the 800 workers who will loss their jobs at the BAE's Govan Shipyard, but said she was relieved it was not closing entirely.
She told the BBC: "We're used to hearing fear-mongering on the part of those who are against Scottish Independence, but I don't think anyone should be doing that today when people's jobs are on the line."
