Driverless cars on Milton Keynes streets in four years
Driverless cars will take to the streets of Milton Keynes in four years, as part of a £1.5m project aimed at boosting green technology.
By mid-2017 it is planned that 100 fully autonomous vehicles will run on pathways alongside pedestrians, using sensors to avoid collisions.
Jon Beasley, director of Transport Systems Catapult, will help develop the "pods" and told BBC Five Live they will "increase safety and lower congestion".
