Fracking 'risks mitigated' says government

Energy Minister Michael Fallon has warned households across the south of England to "prepare for fracking", according to the Daily Telegraph.

A report looking at the risks of the controversial process of extracting shale gas from rock is due out later this year.

The Department for Energy and Climate told the BBC's Susana Mendonca that they expected the report to conclude that the water supply would not be contaminated.
