What would an independent Scotland mean for the UK?

The Scottish government will set out its blueprint for an independent Scotland on Tuesday, ahead of next year's referendum.

First Minister Alex Salmond has claimed that no country has ever been better equipped to become an independent state.

However, if the people of Scotland do vote for independence, what might that mean for people living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland?
