Nigella Lawson denies 'using case as a vehicle'

TV cook Nigella Lawson has been accused of using a court case as a vehicle to explain herself to the world's media.

Giving evidence at Isleworth Crown Court she denied the allegation, saying she did not want to attend the hearing at all because she "felt that I would be put on trial."

Her personal assistants, Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo, deny committing fraud by abusing their positions by using a company credit card for personal gain.

Luisa Baldini reports.
