'Worst' storm surge since 1953 expected to hit east coast

Thousands of homes in North Wales, Essex and East Anglia are being evacuated ahead of what is expected to be the worst tidal surge in decades.

The Environment Agency has 28 severe flood warnings in place in Wales and the east of England, as the storm, which has battered Scotland and Northern Ireland, moves south.
