Storm surge: RNLI station swamped by flood water

The storm surge that swept across parts of the UK coastline has taken its toll on many lifeboat stations, where crews were on standby to rescue stranded residents.

RNLI stations in north Wales, and the east and north west of England reported damage after severe flooding.

The crew at the Wells-next-the-Sea Lifeboat Station, in Norfolk, filmed the moment sea water rushed through the building.

Katy Hastings reports.
