Winter Wonderland was 'a whole load of burger vans'

A Winter Wonderland event in Milton Keynes has closed after just a day because of complaints from visitors.

Families expecting a magical experience complained that Father Christmas was cheaply dressed and there far fewer huskies and reindeer than had been advertised.

Two hundred people have been given refunds and organiser Lorenzo Franco has apologised for any disappointment.

Dean Beaumont, who visited the Winter Wonderland with his wife and three children, told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "It was just shocking. It was a whole load of burger vans with a small funfair."
