Crisis charity sees homeless surge ahead of Christmas

Homeless charity Crisis says it is preparing to feed and shelter more people than ever this Christmas.

About 9,000 volunteers will be serving up food over the festive season, and for the first time the charity is opening a centre in Edinburgh.

New figures show that in the last three years in England there has been a 34% rise in the number of people left homeless.

Jeremy Cooke reports.
