UK hit by rain and high winds

Large parts of the UK are being hit by heavy rain and high winds as forecasters predict bad weather will hit transport in the run up to Christmas.

BBC reporter Sarah Ransome was almost knocked off her feet by high winds in Plymouth as she reported for the BBC News Channel.
