UK floods: David Cameron told 'we need electricity'

A resident of Yalding in Kent has approached Prime Minister David Cameron to complain that she still did not have electricity after the UK storm.

Mr Cameron told her he would "get on to the council" who the woman said had "gone off on their holidays".

Gales and rain have returned to the UK, causing further disruption to transport and the power network.

There are around 13,000 homes still without power in the UK after almost 25,000 were reconnected overnight, the Energy Networks Association said.
