Flood misery in storm-hit village

Thousands of people across the UK remain without electricity after storms brought severe disruption to transport and power networks over the festive period.

Forecasters predict calmer conditions over the weekend, but for those whose homes have flooded, the clean up operation is only just beginning.

Peter Chapman's home in Yalding, Kent, was engulfed by floodwaters on Christmas Eve. He told the BBC's Andy Moore that he felt the system for warning residents about the severity of the situation had not worked.
