Victim Support 'helped me recover from domestic abuse'

It is 40 years since Victim Support was established in the UK.

The charity was originally the idea of a group of public-spirited activists in Bristol who felt that victims were being forgotten by the criminal justice system.

It has helped counsel many who have suffered as a result of crime, as well as supporting witnesses who need to give evidence in court.

Naomi Grimley reports.
