Naomi Oni acid attack 'a horrible offence', police say

An acid attack on a London woman by a friend was "a horrible offence", police say.

Naomi Oni, 21, suffered burns to her face and chest on 30 December 2012 in the attack near her home in Dagenham, east London.

Mary Konye, also 21, was found guilty on Thursday.

DCI Dave Whellams said the verdict would provide Ms Oni "some comfort" and described her as "a very brave woman".
