UK floods: Aerial view of Somerset Levels
Pumping stations around the Somerset Levels are pumping thousands of tonnes of water per second back into the River Parrett, after weeks of heavy rain and flooding.
Farmers in the area have demonstrated against the Environment Agency for failing to dredge the rivers. The agency says it has pumps working "around the clock" to drain the water but that dredging is not always the best or most economic solution.
The BBC's Sarah Ransome says some communities are cut off entirely.
