Woman builds home from scratch after builder dispute

A woman from Basingstoke built her own house from scratch as she was unhappy with the work of previous builders.

Divorce lawyer Carol Sullivan, 50, enrolled on bricklaying and carpentry courses in order to build her dream house.

Mrs Sullivan told BBC Radio 5 live's Drive that the property, which took a year to build, has been valued at over £1 million.
