Property market: 'We're building half what we need to'
Following reports of rising house prices, the BBC visits Market Deeping in Lincolnshire and asks if the housing market is recovering from the financial crisis.
Richard Tamayo from the National House Building Council said: "We're building probably half what we need to be" but said the recovery appeared to be across all areas and there was "guarded optimism" in the industry.
Meanwhile, Lucy Haynes from the Confederation of British Industry said, "We certainly need to see more housing supply coming online, and we know that for every pound spent on construction, we get nearly £3 back to the wider economy".
