Somerset floods: 'We have never seen it this bad'

Large parts of the Somerset Levels have suffered extensive flooding in recent weeks - and with more wet weather forecast there are fears the situation could get even worse.

The BBC has been speaking to local residents to see how they are coping and get their opinions on how authorities are handling the crisis.

Philippa Hawks, from Burrowbridge, said that the local parish council had been trying to get problematic rivers addressed for almost 10 years - but with little success.

"We have never ever seen it as bad as this," she added.
