Fraud in student visa system exposed

The Home Office has suspended English language tests run by a major firm after BBC Panorama uncovered systematic fraud in the student visa system.

Researchers secretly filmed a range of abuses including cheating in government-approved English exams, with entire rooms of candidates having their tests faked for them.

The English Testing Service - one of the largest language testing firms in the world - said it did all it could to prevent fraud.

Panorama: Immigration Undercover - The Student Visa Scandal will be broadcast on BBC One at 8.30pm on 10 February
