UK floods: Relief efforts for Wraysbury residents

Hundreds of residents have spent hours without power, many roads remain closed and train services are disrupted as severe flooding continues in Berkshire and Surrey.

Several villages along the River Thames are underwater, and hundreds of homes have been evacuated.

Laura Trant is in Wraysbury, Berkshire, where 100 troops have joined other agencies and local volunteers in an operation to get essential supplies to those in badly-hit areas.

She spoke to Major Jim Skelton who said teams would be going house to house to try and reassure flood-weary residents.
