UK storms: Hurricane-force winds batter England and Wales

Winds of more than 100mph have been battering west Wales and north-west England.

The Met Office has issued its first "red warning" - meaning there is a "risk to life" - of the winter.

The hurricane conditions felled trees, triggered sandstorms and blew caravans away.

Hywel Griffith reports.
