A woman from North Wales has told the BBC she heard an "almighty bang" before realising part of her roof was missing.

Lizzie Mowatt from Porthmadog is one of thousands of properties affected by gale-force winds.

Around 13,500 properties in mid and north Wales have no power, and just under 400 in south and west Wales.
