Widow: Storm cruise ship was 'pandemonium'

The widow of a man who died on a cruise ship on the English Channel has criticised the vessel as "badly maintained".

James Swinstead, 85, of Colchester, Essex, was killed when a huge wave crashed into British boat Marco Polo during severe storms on Friday.

During an interview with the BBC, she described "real pandemonium" as the wave hit.

Operator Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) said the ship was fully compliant with "strict" maritime regulation.
