Community rallies to save "Lonely Tree"

Llanfyllin residents have launched an appeal to save a Powys landmark known as "The Lonely Tree."

The Scots pine, thought to be around 150 years old, was felled by the recent high winds.

The town council hopes to keep the tree alive by covering its roots in soil.

Donations have been received from all over the world to help the restoration efforts.

Jon Ironmonger reports.
