MP Nigel Evans: "Nothing will ever be the same again"

Former deputy speaker of the House of Commons Nigel Evans has been cleared of a string of sex abuse charges, including one of rape.

The former Conservative MP, who stands as an independent for the Ribble Valley, was found not guilty after a trial at Preston Crown Court.

Speaking outside court after the verdict, Mr Evans said he had been "through 11 months of hell".
