Hillsborough disaster: Families to mark anniversary

Bells will be rung 96 times across Merseyside on Tuesday to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

The bells of Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool Town Hall and churches as far afield as Southport and Prescot will be rung at 15:06 BST.

It marks the moment a crush that led to the deaths of 96 fans halted Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final at the Sheffield ground on 15 April 1989.

Bruce Grobbelaar, the Liverpool goalkeeper on the day of the disaster, has travelled from Canada to attend the service for the first time in 10 years.

Amy McGlone, daughter of Alan McGlone who died in the disaster, said the "heartache seems ten times worse on the 15th".
