Asthma sufferers are dying unnecessarily report shows

Asthma sufferers are dying unnecessarily, according to the first national study of asthma deaths in the UK.

The Royal College of Physicians found that complacency from patients and medical staff was often to blame.

There were more than 1,200 deaths in the UK linked to asthma in 2012, one of the highest rates in Europe.
