Yachtsman Tony Bullimore, who survived five days at after his boat capsized in the Southern Ocean in 1997 has signed a petition calling on the US Coast Guard to resume its search for the missing Britons.

Contact with Andrew Bridge, James Male, Steve Warren and Paul Goslin on the 40ft Cheeki Rafiki yacht was lost on Friday after it got into difficulties 620 miles (1,000km) east of Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
