Theresa May condemns police failings

Home Secretary Theresa May has urged the police to "show the public you get it", following a number of high profile scandals involving officers.

Addressing the Police Federation's annual conference, Mrs May said that, as an elected MP, she refused "to turn a blind eye".

Last week, MPs called for urgent reform of the federation, after a report found there was a culture of bullying.
