Orchid View inquiry: 'Care home filled beds to make money'

A report into the failings at a care home, where 19 elderly and vulnerable residents died, is due to be published on Monday.

A coroner described Orchid View in West Sussex as being riddled with ''institutional abuse''.

Judith Charatan's mother, Doris Fielding, was one of the last people to be admitted to Orchid View, which was closed in 2011. It has since reopened under a new name and new management.

''It was unforgivable that they were simply filling up beds to make money,'' she told the BBC's Alison Holt.
