Syria conflict: Father of UK jihadi Nasser Muthana speaks

The father of a British man in a YouTube video of alleged UK jihadists in Syria has spoken of his sadness at the revelation.

Ahmed Muthana confirmed that his son, 20-year-old medical student Nasser, was one of the men shown in the clip, which appears to show the jihadists in Syria trying to recruit people to join them there and in Iraq.

"Somebody is driving those kids to do this", he said, adding that those people were "making a problem for the whole [Muslim] community."

UK police are trying to get the film, posted by accounts linked to Islamist militant group Isis, taken off-line.
