Iraq crisis: No combat role for UK 'at present time' - Hammond
Philip Hammond has said the the government's focus in Iraq is humanitarian and it is not considering any form of military intervention "at the present time".
The British Foreign Secretary said the situation in Iraq was a "potential humanitarian disaster on a huge scale".
He said he did not think it was necessary to recall Parliament to discuss the crisis.
Mr Hammond also said that the resignation of Foreign Office minister Mark Simmonds, announced on Monday, was unrelated to policy.
